Money burst onto the scene with his debut album in 1977. Fans immediately fell in love with Money’s sound, and the album, which went double platinum, featured hits like “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets to Paradise.” Money followed the success of his debut album with a stream of Top 40 hits, as well as some of the era’s most creative videos for songs like “Think I’m in Love” and “Shakin.” In 1986, Money released Can’t Hold Back, which featured the classic, Grammy-Nominated duet with Ronnie Spector, “Take Me Home Tonight.” The song reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album went platinum and also featured the hit “I Wanna Go Back.”
Money’s blue-collar brand of Rock n Roll has managed to transcend generations and continues to move audiences today. Along with having sold more than 28 million records, Money’s songs have appeared in dozens of movies and television shows, and have recently been included in hit video games like “Grand Theft Auto” and “Guitar Hero.”will be in bookstores June 23, 2015.
After attending The Berkley School of Music and working as an engineer, Ed wrote a series of songs and produced a demo designed to see if he could get work as a song writer. He released these songs in 1993 under the name Collective Soul. These songs turned into the first Collective Soul album and contained the multi-platinum hit “Shine”. Since, Roland has been the leader of the worldwide successful band and has written and performed such hits as “World I Know”; “December”; “Staring Down”; She Said; Gel; Heavy; and many others. Collective Soul continues to tour the world and is currently working on a new album.
Continuing the tradition for Rock, Band X will be performing with several special guest musicians during the evening. Formed in early 1996, they deliver powerful, dynamic renditions of 60’s soul, 70’s disco, 80’s retro, 90’s dance classics, and the hottest pop tunes of today – placing you right in the middle of a spontaneous party.
Tanner is an accomplished drummer, guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer. He has toured the United States with the bands Soul Stash (opened for Velvet Revolver) and Modern Paranoia. The band’s debut single “I’m A Bird”, charted nationally and received airplay on numerous radio stations leading to tours with several acts including Almost Kings, Tantric, and Rehab.
Through his passion for live performance, Tanner developed a love for studio and song production. In 2010, he opened Madison Studios in Chamblee, Georgia and has since collaborated with top producers such as Steve Morales (Enrique Iglesias, Cristina Aguilera), E-Man (Hot Chelle Ray, Selena Gomez), and the legendary Dallas Austin.
Wally is an original member of The Romantics and is most recognized for his lead vocals in such great songs as “What I Like About You” and “Talking in Your Sleep”.
Jeff influenced the southern rock movement as a founding member, lead guitarist and song writer for .38 Special. He is also a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Band. Jeff will perform notable hits “Hold On Loosely” and “Rockin’ Into the Night” among others.
Jack has made his mark with several bands including Rubicon, Night Ranger (as bassist and as the lead vocalist), and Damn Yankees (as one of the founding members). Notable songs include “Sister Christian” and “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”.
Strong singer-songwriter, Chelsea Shag is an artist with so much to offer vocally and it is refreshing to hear her play guitar with such ease and originality. Her sound is not just pop – it’s jazz, blues, R&B, soul, funk, and hip hop all in one.
After studying jazz guitar at the Atlanta Institute of Music, Chelsea began winning hearts performing throughout Atlanta breaking the cliché that only men can rock a guitar. With her looper machine, sweet tones, beat boxing, and kick drum riding the rhythm – her live performance is not too be missed.
Chelsea is in the works of finishing her first record with a full band. This new element only magnifies her more as the artist she is so keep your eyes peeled and ears ready. Things are about to get funky!
